This meditation session focuses on mind and body connection. McKenzie leads session members in a guided imagery meditation, a type of meditation which allows one to reach a state of calm and relaxation through personal imagery. This meditation allows you to experience a place from your memory or of your own creation by mentally utilizing your 5 senses. While leading you through the mediation, McKenzie plays light guitar to create ambiance and enhance the experience.

Time spent actively meditating is approximately 30 minutes. At the conclusion of the meditation, McKenzie leaves space for session members to discuss their experiences if necessary. Due to the imagery component, this meditation often brings up memories and strong emotions. While experiencing these emotions is not bad and can in fact be very healing, McKenzie finds that it is important to provide space to process these experiences if needed.

Session members are encouraged to engage in this group in whatever capacity is most comfortable and relaxing. This can include sitting in a chair, sitting on the floor, or even laying on the floor. Yoga mats/blankets/pillows/etc. will not be provided.
